The Ministry of Trade Industry and SME development called on all HVAC traders to stop importing R-22 gas air conditions.
Speaking to Sam Paulus, Sales and Marketing Executive for Cold Air Technologies clarified that they have stopped importing the R-22 products. “As a cooling company, we have to comply with the country’s constitution and regulations on climate protection. Customer services is our number one priority, and following the ministry’s order we tend to protect the environment and climate at large, therefore, we have elevated from selling all R-22 products and shifted to products rated with light or zero on emissions. Furthermore, our clients have been educated and warned to always to check for labels on the branding of the gas type for their health’s sake.”

Biashara news confirmed that Cold Air Technologies is a member of HVAC Association, and it believes the Association will uplift the industry from production up until end-users of the products. Their only wish is see smaller companies to be awarded tenders and financing from financial institutions to complete their projects.
