Namibian women have become highly involved in leadership roles, helping to create a more diverse agricultural industry.
Biashara newspaper interviewed Peneyambeko Nakale, the founder and CEO of Erongo Miller’s trading CC, who talks about her journey from being a Sales and Marketing administrator to establishing her own company called Erongo Miller’s trading cc.
She obtained a B-Tech in Marketing from the Namibia University of Science and Technology and has worked in the retail industry while studying until her graduation. She also worked as the Administrative Officer of the Pan Afrikan Centre of Namibia responsible for running the affairs of the organisations while reporting directly to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
With her experience in Human Resources, finance, administration and Marketing management, Nakale has been exploring different opportunities in the agricultural sector. She grew up in the north and grain processing is a cultural and daily activity in her community. That makes her highly experienced in that area.
The birth of Erongo Miller’s Trading CC
In the year 2018, she established Erongo Miller’s Trading CC. The company is in the business of culturally malting, fermenting, milling, packaging and selling Mahangu and Sorghum products to the local market. The company plans to also cater for an international market.
