Vollmond Electrical Engineering is a Plug to All Your Electricity Struggles

Vollmond electrical engineering is a Namibian-owned, 24-hours electrical, mechanical, plumbing and security service company.

The company was founded in the year 2017 however, it was only officially registered in 2018 Vollmond Electrical Engineering’s CEO, Israel Dolloh Hauwanga tells Biashara news that he came up with the idea because there was a gap in the industry that needed to be closed.

“Big companies are refusing to take the small jobs because they are too costly for them and that’s where we come in,” Hauwanga said. He added that there was no 24/7 electrical service provider, so they initiated one.

Nothing comes easily; having to deal with people daily, there are always difficulties and challenges.  Hauwanga said that their main challenge as a business is debt collection; clients are not settling their invoices on time. “I keep saying, one can’t keep an SME waiting for 25 days or more for payments, as we do not have a large cash flow like the big corporates.” He emphasized.

Another challenge is that the market industry is flooded with underqualified technicians trying to make quick money and messing up the industry’s pricing structure. According to Hauwanga, this creates fear and trust issues in clients.

Regardless of the challenges, some reasons and benefits keep Vollmond Electrical Engineering going. “Technicians who are worth keeping are not cheap and cheap technicians are not cheap either” Hauwanga highlighted. He added that their pride is in the quality of their work and their work ethics always bring them business opportunities.

“We desire to help and educate our esteemed clients so that they can help us build relationships and establish trust between us and them,” Hauwanga said.  At this point, the company has four permanent workers, 3 casuals and 2 interns.
