Vilio Kalimbo, Founder and Manager of Thikamapo Biogas and Farming cc, officially launches enterprise and a Biogas project on the 20th November 2020, after his big invention of a Biogas stove.
The commercial project works with small scale renewable energy under a development ideology for fighting poverty and unemployment in rural areas, while sustaining the ecosystem. The development transforms organic waste such as agriculture from gardens kitchen waste and that from food retailers, into byproducts for socio-economic development which are: Biogas and Organic fertilizers.
Vilio Kalimbo could not hide his joy for the project established. “I thank everyone for making it possible to make sure that the project came to live, especially with the Biogas innovation, because it makes rural lives flexible. Our main objective is making cooking easier in rural communities, and maintaining a clean environment.”
Mr. Andreas Ndapuka, Renewable Energy Researcher at the UNAM, Edward Dos Santos campus. Highlighted that the gas initiative has a huge impact in our everyday lives, although, the idea was initially birthed at UNAM, Walvis Bay campus as a result of an educational tour, it should grow and become a national project. “I am glad that I was presented with this project, and offered my research and ideas to help build an efficient and functional Biogas stove. As the campus Energy Researcher, I am ready to offer and assist to more ideas such as this” Mr. Andreas.
