Millenium Donates an Air Purifier Machine valued at N$30 000 to Ongwediva MediPark Private Hospital

Leading Air-conditioning Company, Millenium Refrigeration and Electrical Services, handed over an air purifier worth N$30 000 to Ongwediva MediPark private hospital on the 17th December 2020. The Air Purifier will be used for emergency and ordeal units of the hospital.

“The air we breathe indoors is up to five times more polluted than outdoor air. Public spaces, like offices, health care facilities and schools are breeding grounds for bacteria, viruses, dust and allergens, and harsh chemicals and odors. While we all recognize the need to wash our hands and clean common surfaces like doors, tabletops, bathrooms, and toilets, it is not enough.” This was said by, Millenium Managing Director, Mr. Parastus Nepolo, as he handed over the equipment.

He further commented that, in other countries the air treatment products have garnered a lot of attention in the marketplace and he thinks it is something that many hospitals might see immediate value in, especially this time of Covid-19 epidemic where health cannot be compromised.

Receiving the air purifying machine on behalf of the hospital was Dr Tshali Iithete, Ongwediva MediPark Managing Director, who expressed his gratitude to Millenium for this sponsorship. “The sponsorship came at the time when hospitals around the world are battling the covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, this sponsorship signifies a remarkable partnership between Millenium Refrigeration and Electrical Services and Ongwediva MediPark in promoting the health of our communities.”

“We would like to thank Millenium Refrigeration and Electrical Services wholeheartedly for this generous gesture. This donation comes at a time when our nation and indeed our region Oshana, has begun to experience a re-upsurge of new covid-19 infections in a form of a second wave,” Iithete said.

Similarly, this is the second time the company has donated a similar product, following the first donation made in July this year to the Ministry of Health and Social Services’ Covid19 center.

The air purifying machines use a combination of the most effective filtration and cleaning methods as part of a 4-stage filtration process to remove 99.97% of airborne pollutants, and particles down to 0.3 microns in size. This allows a high level of performance on the intelligent sensor technology, which makes them the perfect clean air solution. Biashara News understands.
