Foot operated hand sanitizers thrive during COVID-19

Whilst tourism business slows during Covid-19, Innovators seized an opportunity for improvement. Patrick McSevel Kamhulu, a mechanical engineer by profession innovated foot operated sanitizer stands.

Kamhulu informed Biashara news that the foot sanitizer stands were designed and manufactured by his team. “The idea of innovating such a project all began when a client requested a quotation for foot operated stand sanitizers. I then put my team together to design the stand, putting into consideration that it has to be user friendly, require no electricity, maintenance free and guarantee the Covid-19 safety measures” said Kamhulu.

Kamhulu runs as a Project manager for the company, so far, he has manufactured sanitizer stands for malls, hospitals, police stations, check points, churches as well as schools. McSevel Engineering Cc has aid in the fight for Covid-19 pandemic by donating a stand to Mandume Primary School.

Kamhulu chattered his company, McSevel Engineering Cc in 2013 by the time he was in his 4th year at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. The company offers services such as design and fabrication, construction, electrical services, Information Technology and solar power systems.

Biashara news understand that the company has employed three technicians and one administrator so far.
